1st week of Mission Life for Hollie August 27th 2014 Mexico City MTC

Hola familia!! I can't believe that its been a week!! ha ha! Hey its okay to send letters!! Please send them because I have more time to write letters than emails. I don't have anyone's address so send me one!!!! It takes like 10 days to get here, but I will still love that!! Send me some pictures either way, its probably safer to send to California though ha ha!. I opened my email today and had like 14 emails, I was so overjoyed!! Although its very difficult to respond to all of them. so I will definitely be writing more in the weeks to come! Wow how was St. George that's so much fun!!! Oh yay thank you for taking care of all of my stuff! I'm so thankful to receive your letters!! Well I honestly wasn't sure what to expect for the Mexico MTC. I have been challenged for sure. I have never felt the spirit so strongly in my life though.

I love my companion and she is such a great influence to me! She just says what she thinks and doesn't worry what people think ha ha!. Well, everyone here speaks Spanish and even my classes are in Spanish! Church is also in Spanish except for Relief Society. So, its nice to have the break! They make us write out talks every week because they just pick random people to speak from each zone. Oh and the food here is very delicious except I have only been eating meat and fruit. everything else has gluten. Luckily, my companion and I were blessed one day and someone gave us a whole package of gluten free cookies!! My companion and I ate it in like 2 hours lol. It rains here a lot, but the past few days we have been blessed with sunny weather!! My companion and I live with another companion set and we are like best friends! It's a lot of fun. The other set are going to Arizona! Um, I have already taught 3 lessons in Spanish!! We are also teaching tonight!! It is hard but lots of fun! My Spanish is alright, its just hard speaking! It was really nice when I got here though cause everyone would ask me Spanish questions ha ha!. They think I'm so smart and I'm just like no!! ha ha! they make me laugh. My district is all very close, so its great! I cant say this week has gone by fast but I have enjoyed the most of it ha ha!.

Oh and I'm trying to memorize the baptismal question in Spanish today to teach the investigator! I'm sure I will get off my email and remember what to tell you ha ha!. I totally forget cause there is so many things everyday! Well I know this is God´s work and that we are nothing without him. Even though its hard, its worth it! I'm loving this opportunity! Let me know what all you do this week! And don't forget how much I love you guys!! You are always in my prayers, always! Oh and you should have Derrick teach you to pray in Spanish!!! TE AMO MUCHISIMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
